Vietnam has become one of the fastest-growing international destinations for Indian travellers – and it’s easy to see why. Limestone islands rising out of an emerald bay, rice terraces stepping down mountain valleys, buzzing old quarters and long beaches, all at a reasonable cost and only a few hours’ flight away. Our Vietnam tour package, “Vibrant Vietnam with Sapa”, covers the country’s four highlights in nine days.
- Duration: 9 days / 8 nights
- Route: Hanoi – Halong Bay – Sapa – Danang
- Includes: flights from Kolkata, all meals, a night on a Halong Bay cruise, accommodation, sightseeing and transfers
- Price: from ₹1,30,000 per person
The four highlights
Hanoi
Vietnam’s capital mixes French colonial avenues with the chaotic charm of the Old Quarter. Expect Hoan Kiem Lake, the Temple of Literature, street-food lanes and a water-puppet show.
Halong Bay
A UNESCO World Heritage Site with nearly two thousand limestone islands. Our package includes a night on a cruise, so you wake up in the middle of the bay – far better than a rushed day trip. Read our Halong Bay cruise guide.
Sapa
In the far north-west, Sapa is a mountain town surrounded by rice terraces and villages of the Hmong and Dao communities. It is cool all year and spectacular before harvest. See our Sapa trekking guide.
Danang
On the central coast, Danang offers long sandy beaches, the Marble Mountains, the Dragon Bridge and easy access to the Golden Bridge at Ba Na Hills and the old town of Hoi An.

Best time to visit Vietnam
Vietnam is long, so the weather varies by region:
- Hanoi and Halong: October to April is pleasant; December–February can be cool and misty.
- Sapa: March–May and September–November; September is famous for golden terraces.
- Danang: February to August is the beach season; autumn brings heavy rain on the central coast.
Our departures (for example in February, March and April) are timed for good weather across the whole route.
Food tips for Indian travellers
Vietnam is very friendly for vegetarians when you know what to ask for. Try pho (also available vegetarian), banh mi, spring rolls and Vietnamese coffee. Our meals include Indian options where possible.
Money and connectivity
The currency is the Vietnamese dong. Cards work in cities, but carry cash for markets. Buying a local SIM or eSIM on arrival is easy and cheap.
